Director of Nursing Full-Time Permanent Role

The successful candidate will be self-driven and experienced and will over-see the day to day management of a professional workforce of healthcare staff.    This role will work towards achieving the professional and organisational goals of the Hospital and will provide a high level of dynamic leadership and clinical skill.  The Director of Nursing will be responsible for delivering a consistent standard of care throughout the UPMC Whitfield campus and will ensure that practice develops and matches or exceeds other leading healthcare organisations, thereby maximising the Patient experience.

 

Experience required:

All candidates must be a Registered Nurse with an Bord Altranais and have a thorough knowledge and understanding of its professional code of conduct

At least 10 years post registration experience with a minimum of 3 of those at ADON level or higher to include managing staff, resources and budget

Hold a relevant managerial or post graduate clinical qualification

Demonstrate a thorough and up to date knowledge of the Irish healthcare system and understand the principles of a nursing led service at UPMC Whitfield. 

A proven track record of strong influential skills  in order to  gain credibility within a range of stakeholders

Be competent at analysing the cultural changes needed to deliver service progression.    Lead professional Team working, sustain the appropriate level of skilled and competent staff alongside effective and safe standards of care.

Working knowledge and experience of Theatre scheduling desirable

To work effectively alongside the UPMC Whitfield Management Team and Clinical Director in relation to risk management and clinical governance

 

Assistant Director of Nursing – 2 Positions Full-Time Permanent

The successful candidates will be key members of the management Team providing operational and clinical leadership and will be instrumental in delivering the highest possible quality of care across the UPMC Whitfield campus

 

Experience required:

All candidates must be a Registered Nurse with an Bord Altranais and have a thorough knowledge and understanding of its professional code of conduct

At least 7 years post registration nursing experience with a minimum of 3 of those at CNM2 level

Successful operational management experience in a multi -disciplinary environment

Day to day people management experience including performance management and objective setting

All candidates must be able to display the requisite clinical,  leadership, managerial  and administrative  knowledge and skills required
