Has an immediate requirement for the following full-time permanent position
Under the general supervision of the Vice President, Construction and Facilities Management, UPMC International, the Project Manager will represent UPMC (www.UPMC.com) to effectively manage all aspects of the planning, construction and commissioning of all facility renovation and construction projects in Ireland.
Based at UPMC Whitfield in Waterford, the Project Manager will ensure the successful delivery of projects at UPMC Whitfield and at other locations in Ireland as assigned by the Vice President, Construction and Facilities Management, UPMC International. This will involve the development of working relationships with staff, schedule and cost management, equipment procurement and installation, quality control and all regulatory aspects of projects. The ideal candidate should demonstrate superior planning abilities and have significant project management expertise.
He or she should have previous experience in selecting and appointing vendors, consultants and contractors, and have excellent oral and written communication skills. He or she must also be able to prioritise activities, be able to multitask, and should possess strong interpersonal skills. The Project Manager will work in an established team and cooperate with other managers. The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure that facility renovation and construction projects in Ireland are successfully executed using available resources.
Place of work: Waterford but travel throughout Ireland along with International travel may be required
